JJ Meteor Mod 1.12.2/1.10.2 adds 2 meteors to the game that you often play. They are new objects that can crash onto the terrain of the Minecraft world.

You are joining an extremely helpful release for a server manager. Along with two meteors, you can find a strange mechanism.
That system looks like an event. Actually, when a meteor bumps into the ground, you will see lots of items that it drops.
Note! Only one OP player will be able to spawn the meteor with /meteor command.

The Red meteor is rarer. There is a 16.66% chance of crashing.
It’s pretty complex for the author to explain the distance between the character and the crash. For example, if you engage in Single-player, the meteor crashes ax = player.x +/- 100 ez = player.z +/- 100. You can find an intermediate point between them if you play in Multiplayer.
There is a config to switch off the ability to write in chat that the meteor is going to crash. It’s important to move to the “mod options” and look for the item “show_message_start_meteor”. You can edit the message crash with another.

Update! Meteors can naturally auto-arise in the world. And, there is a new telescope.
