Better Foliage Renewed Mod 1.18.2/1.17.1/1.16.5 is an adaption to the primary work of Octarine Noise. This client-sided mod brings some fixes to Minecraft.
Before you run this Cosmetic mod in the game, you should know a bit about the original work. It was hard to update because of some design decisions. For instance, the coremodding was complicated to obtain some rendering effects. Also, it depended on an unclear programming language and implemented hard things like creating textures at runtime for instance. Therefore, you may need to install the above adaption as it will fix all the things mentioned above.
The mod makes use of the resource pack as well as model loading APIs that were given by Forge and Mojang. Different from modern mods, this one does not rely on any mods. Also, there is no configuration for turning on/off features either since models are all loaded through resource pack. When you want to turn off a model, you have to override the blockstate file of that block with one block from vanilla. Therefore, you will find mod compat much more convenient and easier.
Better Foliage Renewed is kind of similar to vanilla. If you are on a low-end computer, you may encounter some lag due to the leaves. However, the mod is still good for everyone to use to enhance the visual aspects of things in the game. Make sure you install Minecraft Forge first to run this mod.
