Broulf’s Simply Hammers Mod 1.16.4/1.12.2 rolls out many different types of hammers useful for mining. Its goal will follow along with vanilla Minecraft without moving too far.

BSHM contains simple hammers. They utilize 3 sticks with 2 blocks of either Iron, Gold, or Diamond.
Tinkers Construct is the source that the creation bases on.
As a lightweight alternative
It’s for players who don’t love to interact with TC but still be crazy about the hammers from the edition.
