The mod adds one line to the code. It has a cool function! When a certain mob or a player stomps on a farmland block, the game will start checking if they are putting on any boots with falling enchantment. It also checks if the mob or the player comes with the slow falling status effect. After the check, if it is true, the crops will be safe.
If you are wearing a pair of boots with falling enchantment, the game will regard that you are not on the soil’s surface. Therefore, it is functional with this enchantment only. The operation of the No Trample mod depends on Fabric API. So, you must install Fabric API first!
