Random Village Names Mod 1.18.2/1.17.1/1.16.5 adds random names to in-world villagers in Minecraft. It is a small section of the Vanilla Experience.
It will be important for the villagers to have names. It is because the names will help you locate the villages easily. Besides, you will also know how to call them. Therefore, a Map and Information mod like Random Village Names is important to install.
The purpose of this mod is to give all villages random names. The names can be picked from a preset list. There will be a sign in the middle of the village and it will be used for giving a name. When you look at the name displayed on the sign, you will understand a bit more about your world. Besides, you can eliminate the sign then rename it if you want. Or, you can put an empty sign in the position of the name to eliminate it completely. The mod also requires the GUI mod Areas. Hence, you have to install it for the mod to work. In this mod, you can use some special config options, like “Entering” part of the shown text for instance.

- /areas: It displays area signs around you, including the name of the village.
