XNet Mod 1.18.1/1.16.5/1.12.2 has already rolled out a single type of cable called a networking cable. The new addition can help the player transport items, fluid, energy, and information in-game immediately.

The release is workable on 1.10.2 and 1.11.2 with the same JAR.

Existing popular issues relate to the texture mapping on cables that is not good.
A wireless router is a missing feature.
XNet is a technology mod including a nice cable. It needs Minecraft Forge to activate!
