Soul Shards: The Old Ways 1.12.2/1.11.2/1.10.2 is a mod in relation to magic. You can capture lots of creatures’ souls using the power of Soul Shard.
When you hold this special item in your hand, you can catch the souls of many creatures that spawn in the Minecraft world. For instance, you can do this to a pig, a chicken, a cow, zombies, skeletons, creepers, spiders, and more.
Catching souls seems to be an interesting task because you can use those souls to collect lots of resources. One piece of this special thing is quite powerful since it can store a large number of souls. Then, you utilize them to make some boxes of Soul Cage.
The Soul Cage may remind you of Mob Spawner. However, it can be controlled by the Redstone signal. You can use it to summon lots of monsters. In the current version, the way you get a shard is to create a small structure then right-click the middle using a diamond.
The shard will be bound to the defeated entity through the first kill you obtain with that Shard in your inventory. After that, it gets souls from that entity. Soul Shards: The Old Ways needs to have Minecraft Forge to apply its functions to the game.
