Bloodmoon Mod 1.12.2/1.11.2/1.10.2 introduces to the user a lunar event – Bloodmoon. Here is the full information about how it appears every night and so on.
Bloodmoon Content
The event that is has added will rise every night at a chance of 5% (configurable).
The next night, monsters will pop up faster and come closer to the player. Their spawn limit also increases.
You will not encounter any of these effects if you stay in a cave, for example. Meanwhile, you cannot sleep through such a night (customizable).
However, you can deploy an option in the configuration file to make all scary creatures disappear at dawn.
For the visual of the moon, sky, and skylight, they will turn red. The fog will turn black to match the red sky. That will create a nicer result.
Bloodmoon is a cosmetic mod that it’s free to add to your mod pack. It requires Minecraft Forge to work!
