Jousting Mod 1.18.2/1.17.1/1.16.5 will give the player two lances and jousting mechanics. There are useful items for you to defend yourself or beat the foes easier.

Tips to use
Hold Right Mouse while riding a horse to charge the lance. That gradually increase the speed. At the max limit, you can be forced to slow down.
The time you do that will depend on the weight of the equipment.
Heavier lances can make the rival fall off their seat faster.
Whilst charging, it’s feasible to cause damage and knockback the people you collide with.
It’ll auto-dismount the other opponents.
A joust will happen when attacking somebody who is also rushing into you.
If you hit someone with a shield, the lance can take critical durability damage.
