VanillaDeathChest (Fabric) Mod 1.16.5/1.15.2/1.14.4 is a server-side mod for Minecraft. It places chests where players meet their end. The chests store all their items.

You should install this Server Utility mod on the server-side. By applying it to the game, you can now keep your items upon death. It is because the mod places a chest where you die, containing all of your items inside. You can apply this to the shulker boxes as well.
Besides servers, you can install the mod on the client then use it in single-player worlds. However, clients that don’t come with this mod are able to link to servers that have the mod installed. Then, the clients can approach the full functionality easily.
Here are some details about the configuration:
- You can find the mod configuration at config/vanilladeathchest.toml.
- You have to remark on properties and categories carefully.
- If the configuration values are invalid, they must be validated and reset.
- You can approach a configuration GUI from Mod Menu.
- By using the command /vdc reloadconfig, you are able to reload the configuration from the in-game disk.
There are several other options that are highly configurable as well, for instance:
- Types of Containers
- Spawn dimensions
- Key items
- Defense entities
- Item filter
- Containers in inventory
- Protection
- Game rule
VanillaDeathChest is operative only when Fabric API is previously installed.
