DarknessLib Mod 1.12.2 gives help to mods with dynamic lights. You can use the mod to manage the light calculations as well.

When you have difficulty in managing light calculations in Minecraft, then this API and Library mod is probably a solution for you. It aims to help other mods that use dynamic lights. Here are some functions of it:

• It allows you to put extra handheld light sources into a configurable list.
• There are several mods functioning on vehicles. Hence, the library also tests an integrated list of vehicles before examining the light level.
• All vehicles from MrCrayfish’s Vehicle Mod also get support from this mod.
• The mod also gives IMC support for the mods to add handheld light sources and vehicles to the matching lists.
• There are several functions for you to use to check the light level.
• The mod supports some other mods like Atomic Stryker’s Dynamic Lights, Optifine’s Dynamic Lights, and Smooth Entity Light.

Some mods functioning on this library are Grue (from 1.6.0) and Hungering Darkness (from 1.3.0). You have to install DarknessLib before you install and run other mods. Besides, the library also needs to have the installation of Minecraft Forge.
